Since 1969, Plasticon Composites has enjoyed a worldwide reputation in glass fibre reinforced (FRP) pipes and fittings with its Kialite® brand and Plastilon® brand (bell & spigot bonding system) FRP piping systems. Today, FRP piping systems are available in a variety of standard diameters ranging from 25 to 1200 mm. In addition, Plasticon Composites manufactures and installs thermoplastic lined FRP (dual laminate) pipes for aggressive products such as chlorine gas, hydrochloric acid, sodium hypochlorite and caustic soda. Plasticon Composites have combined various thermoplastic and fluoropolymer liners (PVC, C-PVC, PP, PE, PVDF, E-CTFE, FEP, PFA, MFA) with glass fibre reinforced polyester resins in order to provide customers with dual laminate piping systems for extremely hot and corrosive environments.
Due to their excellent properties, Plasticon Composites FRP or Dual Laminate piping systems can be used perfectly in several environments. These include all kinds of underground piping systems designed in accordance with ISO 14692 and AWWA 45. Plasticon Composites can also supply insulated piping systems for cooled water conduits used in tropical and subtropical regions or in cold environments. These include heat tracing to prevent the medium from freezing. The use of polyurethane insulation finished with a GRP laminate ensures 100% vapour-tight insulation. Plasticon Composites can comply with any requirements relating to product identification.
