Plasticon Composites was responsible for the relining of a sulphuric acid tank at a chemical plant by using their well developed fix point lining method. This method, made by high energy light, makes it possible to reline tanks at site. In this case Tata steel saved cost because it wasn’t necessary to replace a new tank. The old tank was located in the cellar of one of the buildings.
Inner liners of steel tanks, often corrode on the inside due to the aggressive medium. Leakage and bad performance could become tremendous effects, which no chemical company would like to be exposed to.
