6. Legal basis for processingThe legal basis for processing operations in which we obtain consent for a specific processing purpose is art. 6 (1) lit. a) GDPR. If the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contractual relationship, art. 6 (1) 1 lit. b) GDPR forms the necessary legal basis. If our company is subject to a legal obligation that requires the processing of personal data, such as in the area of tax law, the processing is based on art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR.
Under certain circumstances, the processing of personal data may become necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person. In this case, art. 6 (1) lit. d) GDPR would be the legal basis for the processing.
Processing operations may also be based on art. 6 (1) 1 lit. f) GDPR. This is the case where the processing of your personal data by us is based on a legitimate interest of our company or a third party.
7. Deletion or blocking of dataWe adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as long as the various storage periods provided for by law. After the respective purpose has ceased to exist or these periods have expired, the corresponding data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

10. Use of Google AnalyticsThis website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter: Google) for the statistical evaluation of our online offering. This includes, for example, the number of visits to our online offering, subpages visited and the length of stay of visitors. The legal basis for data processing is your explicit consent in accordance with art. 6 (1) lit. a) GDPR.
Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies" and other browser technologies to evaluate user behavior and recognize users. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of our website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. A level of data protection comparable to that of the GDPR is guaranteed, as Google is licensed according to the data protection agreement "Data Privaca Framework" concluded between the EU and the USA.
However, due to the activation of IP anonymization on these websites, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services related to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data held by Google.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
The specific storage period of the processed data cannot be influenced by us, but is determined by Google. Further information on data processing by Google Analytics can be found in the Google privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
11. Use of Google FontsIn order to display our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries from Google ("Google Fonts") on this website. Google web fonts are transferred to your browser's cache to avoid multiple loads. If the browser does not support Google web fonts or prevents access, content will be displayed in a standard font. In accordance with GDPR art. 6 (1) lit. f), the legal basis for our use of Google Fonts is our legitimate interest in an attractive and uniform appearance of our website.
Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible – but currently also unclear whether and, if so, for what purposes – that the operator of this library collects personal data. We have stored the web fonts required for our site directly on our website. However, some Google tools automatically use Google Fonts, which we cannot prevent on our part. You can find more information about the processing of your personal data by Google here: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
12. Use of Google MapsThis website uses the Google Maps API to visually display geographic information. Google Maps is operated by Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter referred to as Google). When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data about the use of the map functions by visitors. The legal basis for our use of Google Maps is your consent in accordance with GDPR art. 6 (1) lit. a). You can find more information about data processing by Google here: https://policies.google.com/privacy. There you can also change your personal data protection settings in the Data Protection Center.
13. Google Tag ManagerWe use Google's "Google Tag Manager" service. The Tag Manager is operated by Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Tag Manager is an auxiliary service and processes personal data only for technically necessary purposes. Google Tag Manager takes care of loading other components, which in turn may collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. You can find more information about Google Tag Manager here: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
14. Google Marketing Platform (formerly "Doubleclick")This website uses services of the Google Marketing Platform (formerly "Google Doubleclick"). We use cookies to serve ads that are relevant to users, to improve reports on our campaign performance, or to prevent a website visitor from being shown the same advertisement multiple times.
Google uses a cookie ID to record which ads are displayed in which browser and can thus prevent them from being displayed multiple times. In addition, Google can use cookie IDs to record so-called conversions, i.e. whether a user sees an ad and later visits the advertiser's website and makes a purchase there. According to Google, these cookies do not contain any personal information.
Your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google's server. As a result, Google receives the information that you have accessed our website or clicked on an advertisement from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your user account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, there is a possibility that the provider will find out and store your IP address.
In addition, cookies allow us to understand whether you take certain actions on our website after you have viewed or clicked on one of our advertisements on Google or another platform (conversion tracking) ("Floodlight"). Google uses this cookie to understand the content you have interacted with on our websites in order to be able to send you targeted advertising later.
You can prevent the tracking process by making a corresponding setting in your browser software (e.g. third-party cookies disabled), by deactivating cookies for conversion tracking by blocking cookies from the domain www.googleadservices.com in your browser settings, with regard to interest-based ads from the providers that are part of the self-regulatory campaign "About Ads" via the link https://myadcenter.google.com/home?sasb=true&ref=ad-settings. We would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this offer to their full extent. Hotjar uses cookies and other browser technologies to evaluate visitor behaviour and recognize visitors. This information is used, among other things, to compile reports on the activity of the website and to statistically evaluate visitor data. Furthermore, Hotjar records clicks, mouse movements and scroll heights to create so-called heat maps and session replays.
With Hotjar, we are able to better understand the behaviour of our website visitors (how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose, what they like and dislike, etc.) Hotjar collects the following data from our website visitors, among others: IP address of the device used (processed during your session and stored in anonymised form), screen size of the device, device type, browser information, geographical location (country only) and the preferred language used to display our website. If you are logged in with your personal user account while visiting such a website, the operator can assign the visit to your account. If you want to avoid this, you should log out of the operator of the respective platform or deactivate the "stay logged in" function, delete the cookies on your device and close and restart your browser before visiting our online presence.
